I wish you were my doctor. My doctor wont even test me for autoimmune issues, even tho I already have asthma and I have lots of weird symptoms. He says to “wait and see if the symptoms come back” and I just want to be as healthy as I can right NOW to prevent future problems.
I know I have something going on with my thyroid too, but he is no help at all.
He doesn’t get me AT ALL.
I’m sorry if this comes off cruel or mean, but I really, really wish Dr. Alvarez wouldn’t talk so much. He’s talking, talking, talking but not saying anything! I want to hear what Christa has to say about the thyroid and Crohn’s, sleep, etc. She has solutions but he won’t let her get to them!!! These are huge issues and I’d like to hear what she has to say!!! Please stop talking for the sake of talking! We are trying to get some answers by watching your video(s). I’m really sorry if this is mean but I’m so frustrated by this video. I do really love that you are both trying to help but please really help and put egos aside. Thanks for listening.

I found reading Wallach Wisdom encyclopedia that calcium deficiency causes insomnia. But make sure it’s called citrate or hydroxyapatite, as all the others only allow puny absorption. 14 mg per gram from calcium carbonate. But you need to still take a lot because most diets have too high of phosphorus. But this has worked. Melatonin wasn’t working anymore, lavender wouldn’t keep me asleep, I was using 3 essential oils, as it turned out, was causing my cat to vomit.
The Weston Price Foundation website has an article, The Ploy of Soy, that woke me up to the soy I was supplementing my goats and other animals with. The high estrogen in the soy, caused premature births, infertility, and false labor. The trypsin inhibitors and high phytic acid caused multiple deficiency symptoms, my babies were developing poorly, and looked like they had rickets, the adults developed swollen knees, and multiple odd symptoms. Soy supplementation on my rabbits caused the whole herd to become infertile, and they never had anymore babies. I had to start over with new rabbits.

How do you feel about using liquid melatonin before bed (only once in a while-about once a month)? I usually don’t hace trouble falling asleep, but if I do it works great for me.
Okay, Christa, so I have been told that my thyroid is “normal” because of the tests that my doctor has run. I have had ultrasounds that show I have goiters on my thyroid, but they are not big enough to operate on. I have every symptom of hypothyroidism, and I am trying to address it with functional medicine as you recommend–no raw spinach, no soy, no peanut butter, foods high in iodine (eventhough I don’t eat shellfish), and kelp flakes. BUT, how long do I do this? I take beta blockers for a cardiovascular condition, so I can’t take iodine. I am just doing what I can to get iodine into my diet, and I take a bovine glandular support. I am just wondering how long it should take to heal the thyroid???
